A.
All real
estate and personal property now or hereafter owned by the City of
Waverly, Illinois (the "City") useful to the Waverly Volunteer Fire
Department and Rescue Squad (the "Corporation") for fire protection
and ambulance and rescue operations, and training therefor, may be
used by the Corporation on such terms and conditions as may be agreed
upon by and between the City and the Corporation from time to time.
B.
From and
after adoption of this article, the City and Corporation may own real
and personal property in the sole name of each entity or jointly,
to be used in fire protection and ambulance and rescue operations
and training therefor.
To the extent permitted by law, and as determined by the Mayor
and City Council, the City may provide financial support directly
and indirectly to the Corporation in support of the Corporation's
fire protection and ambulance and rescue operations and training therefor.
On or before the first of April of each year, the Corporation
shall furnish to the City the following reports:
A.
A full and complete written financial report showing all receipts
and disbursements for the immediately preceding fiscal year and an
inventory of assets owned by the Corporation only or jointly owned
with others, together with a statement of debt as of the end of said
fiscal year.
B.
A written activity report indicating the number and location of all
fires attended by the Fire Department and the number of Rescue Squad
calls and the site or location to which the Rescue Squad responded
during the immediately preceding fiscal year upon request.
It shall be the function and duty of the Corporation to provide
all fire and ambulance and rescue operations within the City.
