Effective April 1, 1982, there is imposed an interest rate of 10% per annum on all real estate taxes, per capita taxes, or municipal claims filed after April 1, 1982, being an increase from the present rate of 6% per annum as presently charged.
Effective April 1, 1982, there is imposed a penalty of 10% on any municipal claim remaining unpaid for a period of one month after the date the assessment has been levied upon which the municipal claim is based. Such penalty shall be added to the assessment and included in the amount for which the municipal claim or lien is filed for such unpaid assessment.
Effective April 1, 1982, there is imposed a penalty of 10% on all real estate taxes and per capita taxes remaining unpaid for a period of four months after May 1, 1982, for the year 1982, and yearly thereafter, for each calendar year; said penalty shall be added after the expiration of four months computed from May 1 of each calendar year.

Effective March 1, 1984, there is imposed a service charge of 1 1/2% per month on all delinquent water charges, sewer or sewage charges, and garbage and refuse collection charges incurred by all users of such services in the Borough, which remain unpaid after the 18th day of each month.

The proper officials of the Borough shall add the penalty and interest specified in this article to all taxes and municipal claims and shall add the service charge of 1 1/2% per month to all delinquent water charges, sewer or sewage charges, and garbage and refuse collection charges which remain unpaid by the 18th day of each month.
