1. 
Motor vehicles in parking shall draw up to the right-hand curb and stop not more than 12 inches from the curb and parallel thereto, unless white lines or other directions are applicable to a particular place.
2. 
No motor vehicle shall park or remain standing within 20 feet of a street or alley intersection.
3. 
No vehicle shall park between a safety zone and the adjacent curb within 30 feet of points on the curb immediately opposite the ends of the safety zone, unless a different length is indicated by official traffic control devices.
4. 
No vehicle shall park or remain standing within an intersection.
5. 
No person shall willfully fail or refuse to comply with any lawful order or direction of any uniformed police officer, sheriff or constable or any appropriately attired person authorized to direct, control or regulate traffic.
6. 
Police officers may place in front of public buildings and in front of private buildings as may be authorized by Council, a sign prohibiting parking, and may likewise place signs as designated by Council marking spaces wherein parking shall be restricted to a limited time.
7. 
No person shall, without lawful authority, attempt to or in fact, alter, twist, obstruct, deface, injure, knock down, remove or interfere with the effective operation of any official traffic-control device, or any inscription, shield, or insignia thereon or any other part thereof.
8. 
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, or their agents to obstruct or interfere with the free and full use of the highways, including the sidewalks and anything so interfering may be removed as nuisances by any officer of the Borough; provided, however, these regulations shall not affect any person holding a valid permit.

The following intersections located in the Borough are hereby declared to be stop intersections; and official stop signs shall be erected (or are hereby confirmed, if heretofore erected) in such a position as to face traffic approaching on the first named street in the direction or directions hereby indicated. All vehicles approaching the second named street in the direction or directions hereby indicated in each case shall come to a full stop, within a reasonable distance before entering said intersection:

A. 
All streets in the Borough of Akron are designated as 25 miles per hour speed limit zones, other than Rothsville Road and North Farmersville Road (SR 1025), which shall both retain their 40 miles per hour maximum speed limit their entire lengths, and 7th Street (SR 272), which shall retain its 35 miles per hour maximum speed limit its entire length in the Borough of Akron.
B. 
As used herein the term "all streets" includes the entire lengths of 3rd Street, 4th Street, 5th Street, 6th Street, 8th Street, 9th Street, 10th Street, 11th Street, 12th Street, Baker Alley, Bethany Road, Bomberger Road, Broad Street, Brubaker Alley, Cedar Street, Church Alley, Chestnut Street, Circle Drive, Colonial Drive, Crestview Drive, Dawn Avenue, Diamond Spring Circle, Diamond Station Road, Diamond Street, Diller Drive, East End Avenue, Edgehill Drive, Eshelman Drive, Evergreen Drive, Fairview Drive, Ford Alley, Front Street, Fulton Street, Grandview Drive, Grandview Road, Heritage Road, High Street, Highland Alley, Hillcrest Road, Knollwood Drive, Main Street, Market Alley, Meadowview Street, Miller Road, Moon Street, New Street, North Farmersville Road, Oak Street, Orchard Street, Park Street, Playground Alley, Prince Street, Ridgewood Drive, Scenic View Drive, Shepherd Alley, Short Alley, Springcrest Drive, Sunset Avenue, Vista Drive, Walnut Street, West End Avenue, West View Drive, Westbrook Drive, Willow Street, and Wolf Road.

A school zone is established on South Eleventh Street from Broad Street south to Hillcrest Road, where the speed limit shall be 15 miles per hour from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (prevailing time) Monday through Friday.
3. 
The speed limit the entire length of Lions Lane shall be 15 miles per hour. All persons driving on Lions Lane shall not drive at a speed greater than 15 miles per hour.

At the following intersections, official traffic signals shall be erected upon prior approval of the Pennsylvania Department of Highways or, if already erected, are hereby ratified; and traffic at such intersection may be directed by such signals:

1. 
No person, partnership, or corporation shall, place, throw, or otherwise dispose of snow or slush upon the traveling lanes of any street within the Borough. As used herein the term "traveling lanes" is that area of each street that has been plowed for use by the traveling public in traversing any street. The term shall not include any appropriately designated parking lanes. At a minimum, the term "traveling lane" shall extend for a distance of 12 feet from the center line of each street within the Borough.
2. 
It shall be unlawful for any person, partnership, or corporation to throw, place, or leave grass, leaves, or any other natural materials or any trash within the streets of the Borough.
3. 
It shall be unlawful for any person, partnership, corporation, or other entity to allow any tree, brush, shrub, or any other natural growth or any other object to project onto any portion of any street or thoroughfare within the Borough or to allow any overhanging trees to grow (measured from the street surface at the curb vertically) under the following distances on the following streets in the Borough of Akron:
A. 
Fourteen feet the entire lengths of Seventh Street and Main Street, North Ninth Street from SR 272 to Main Street, South Ninth Street from Oak Street South to the Borough Line and North Eleventh Street from SR 272 to Main Street.
B. 
Twelve feet along any other Borough street or alley.
4. 
It shall be unlawful for any person, partnership, or corporation to allow any stones, soil, or any other similar natural material to wash upon the Borough streets.
