The title of this chapter shall be "Games of Chance."
A.ย 
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
AUTHORIZED ORGANIZATION
An authorized organization as defined in ยงย 186 of the New York State General Municipal Law.
GAMES OF CHANCE
A game of chance as defined in ยงย 186 of the New York State General Municipal Law.

All other words and terms shall have the same meaning as such words and terms under Article 9-A of the New York State General Municipal Law.
The Village of Oakfield hereby relinquishes its right to license games of chance. Authorized organizations may, therefore, upon the obtainment of a license from the Clerk of the Town of Oakfield, conduct games of chance within the Village. Such games of chance shall be conducted in accordance with said Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law together with the rules and regulations of the New York State Gaming Commission and other applicable laws.
The conduct of games of chance authorized by this chapter shall be in accordance with the Town of Oakfield local law and, as such, is subject to the restrictions set forth in Article 9-A of the New York State General Municipal Law, the rules and regulations of the New York State Gaming Commission, this chapter, and all other applicable state and local statutes, ordinances, local laws, rules and regulations, now or hereinafter in effect.
On days for which a public activity is scheduled in connection with the annual Labor Daze Celebration in the Village of Oakfield, no games of chance shall be conducted in or around the Triangle Village Park unless approved by resolution of the Oakfield Village Board.
Games of chance authorized by this chapter may be conducted on the first day of the week, commonly known as "Sunday," as provided for in ยงย 195 of the New York State General Municipal Law.
The chief law enforcement officer of the County of Genesee shall exercise control over and supervision of all games of chance conducted under an appropriately issued license. Such officer shall have all those powers and duties set forth in Article 9-A of the New York State General Municipal Law.
This chapter is subject to a permissive referendum and shall take effect 30 days after its adoption unless a referendum shall take effect upon compliance with the provisions of Article 9 of the Village Law.[1]
