The City Collector within thirty (30) days after the tax books are delivered to him/her shall prepare accurate tax bills for all items shown in said books and shall upon payment of any such taxes deliver the receipted tax bill to the person paying same.

The City Collector shall collect all revenues derived from all sources due to the City, including taxes, licenses and fees, and it shall be his/her duty to use all lawful means to secure the prompt payment of same.

The City Collector shall prepare and issue all licenses required to be issued by him/her by ordinance and shall collect the prescribed fees or taxes therefor, and shall deliver such licenses upon payment thereof to the persons entitled thereto.

It shall be the duty of the City Collector annually, on the first meeting of the Board of Aldermen in April of each year, or as soon thereafter as may be, to make out, under oath, lists of delinquent taxes due and uncollected for each year, to be known as the "Land and Lot Delinquent List" and the "Personal Delinquent List." The Board of Aldermen at the meeting at which said delinquent list shall be returned shall examine the same and, if it appears that any taxes therein appear delinquent, shall approve the same, cause a record thereof to be entered in the journal and credit the Collector with the amount thereof. Said lists shall be returned to the Collector who shall be charged therewith.

The City Collector on approval and return to him/her of the delinquent lists shall proceed to collect the same in the manner and under the regulations that are or may be provided by law of the State of Missouri for the collection of delinquent real and personal property taxes for municipal purposes in the City of Camdenton.

The City Collector shall report to the Board of Aldermen each month, all monies received from all sources, including licenses, current taxes and taxes collected on the real and personal delinquent lists.

The City Collector shall turn over to him/her successor all uncollected delinquent lists, receiving credit therefor, and his/her successor shall be charged therewith.

The Board of Aldermen may declare worthless any and all personal delinquent taxes which they may deem uncollectible.

The City Collector shall at the second meeting in October of each year make a detailed report to the Board of Aldermen, stating the various monies collected during the previous fiscal year, and the amounts uncollected and the names of the persons from whom amounts were not collected, and the causes therefor.

The City Collector shall perform all the duties in respect to the collection of current and delinquent taxes due the City that may be provided by ordinance of the laws of the State of Missouri now in effect or which may hereafter be enacted.
