§ 525-6 Motor vehicles not to be driven on sidewalks.

No person shall operate any motor vehicle longitudinally upon any sidewalk in the Borough; nor shall any person operate any motor vehicle upon or across any sidewalk except in order to gain access to or egress from a driveway or alley at such locations where the curb, if such sidewalk is curbed, shall have been properly cut down for the purpose. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction thereof before a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $50 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the County jail for not more than 10 days.

§ 525-7 Speed limits established on certain streets.

A. The following speed limits are hereby established:

B. Any person who shall operate a vehicle at a speed in excess of that hereby established therefor, upon any of the portions of the streets herein specified, shall, upon conviction thereof before a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of $10 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the County jail for not more than five days.

§ 525-8 Traffic signals at certain intersections.

A. At the following intersections, official traffic signals shall be erected (or are hereby ratified if heretofore erected), and traffic at such intersections shall be directed by such signals:

B. Any operator of a vehicle who shall disobey the directions of any traffic signal shall, upon conviction thereof before a district justice, be sentenced to pay a fine of $5 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the County jail for not more than three days.

§ 525-9 Intersections where turn prohibited on red signal.

A. No vehicle entering any of the following signalized intersections from the first-named street shall there make a right turn on a red signal:

B. The Borough shall post within a reasonable distance of all such intersections subject to this section a sign indicating that right turns on red signals are prohibited. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction thereof before a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $25 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the County jail for not more than five days.

§ 525-10 Left turns prohibited at certain intersections.

A. No vehicle entering any of the following intersections from the first-named street shall there make a left turn:

B. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction thereof before a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $10 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the County jail for not more than five days.

§ 525-11 One-way streets established.

B. Any person who shall operate a vehicle upon any street or portion thereof hereby established as a one-way street other than in the direction hereby established for vehicular traffic thereon shall, upon conviction thereof before a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $10 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the County jail for not more than five days.

§ 525-12 Stop intersections established.

A. The following intersections, located in the Borough of Lemoyne, are hereby declared to be stop intersections, and official stop signs shall be erected (or are hereby confirmed if heretofore erected) in such a position as to face traffic approaching the second-named street upon the first-named street, in the direction or directions hereby indicated. All vehicles approaching the intersection upon the first-named street, in the direction or directions hereby indicated in each case, shall come to a full stop, within a reasonable distance, before entering such intersection:

B. Any driver of a vehicle who shall fail to come to a full stop, within a reasonable distance, before entering any stop intersection, as hereinabove required, shall upon conviction thereof before a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of $5 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the County jail for not more than three days.

§ 525-13 Yield intersections established.

A. The following intersections, located in the Borough of Lemoyne, are hereby declared to be yield intersections, subject to the provisions set forth herein, and official yield signs shall be erected (or are hereby confirmed if heretofore erected) in such a position as to face traffic traveling upon the first named street (Yield Street) and making a right-hand turn onto the second named street (Intersecting Street), in the direction or directions hereby indicated (the "Direction of Travel" indicating the intended direction of travel on the Intersecting Street):

B. The driver of a vehicle approaching a yield sign shall in obedience to the sign slow down to a speed reasonable for the existing conditions and, if required for safety to stop, shall stop before entering a crosswalk on the near side of the intersection or, if none, then at the point nearest the intersecting roadway where the driver has a view of approaching traffic on the intersecting roadway before entering. After slowing down or stopping, the driver shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle in the intersection or approaching on another roadway so closely as to constitute a hazard during the time the driver is moving across or within the intersection of roadways.

C. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction thereof before a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $25 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the County jail for not more than five days.

§ 525-14 Trucks and commercial vehicles not permitted on certain streets except for local delivery or pickup.

A. No person shall operate a truck or commercial vehicle upon any of the following portions of streets in the Borough of Lemoyne, except where necessary in order to deliver goods, wares or merchandise to property located upon such street or portion thereof or upon another street accessible only by traversing such street or to pick up goods, wares or merchandise from premises so located.

B. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction thereof before a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $5 or more than $50 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the County jail for not more than 10 days.

§ 525-15 Play highways authorized.

The Mayor is hereby authorized to designate as "play highways," whenever he shall deem such action advisable, and for whatever period of time directed by him, any portion of any street or alley in the Borough, whereon sledding and coasting shall be permitted. Every such highway shall be set apart and marked off for the purpose under the direction of the Mayor. No person shall operate any motor vehicle upon any play highway at anytime when such highway shall be so designated, except in case of emergency, with special permission of the police officer in charge, who shall first clear such highway of all persons using such highway for the purpose for which it was set apart. Any person who shall violate any provision of this section shall, upon conviction thereof before a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $10 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the County jail for not more than five days.
