The numbers on all buildings on all avenues or streets running east and west shall begin at the eastern end of such avenue or street and shall be numbered westwardly, allowing two numbers for each lot, except that lots boarding on cross streets shall be allowed three numbers. A new hundred shall be started at each cross street, starting with the first street as "100." Odd numbers shall be on the north side and even numbers shall be on the south side of all such streets and avenues.

On streets and avenues running north and south, numbering shall begin at Market Street, and numbering alike, in opposite directions, according to the same system used in streets and avenues running east and west, with odd numbers on the east side of every such street and avenue, even numbers on the west side thereof.
Persons wishing to number their properties can receive their numbers by applying to the Borough Secretary, who is to secure a blueprint of the Borough at the expense of the Borough with the numbers of each lot as provided for by this chapter.
