No person shall deposit, place or throw any dead, fatally sick
or injured animal, or part thereof, in any public place.

No person shall keep, possess or harbor any swine, foxes or
goats within the Village, nor shall any person erect, own, or use
any hog sty, or goat pen within the Village limits.

No person shall engage in the business for profit of raising
animals or hatching or raising domestic fowls, pigeons, or bees, except
within areas that are zoned as commercial or industrial. No person
shall keep, possess, or harbor any horses, cows, calves, rabbits,
sheep, chickens, geese, or ducks in any dwelling or part thereof.
Nor shall any animals or fowl be kept on the same lot or premises
with a dwelling except under such conditions as may be prescribed
by the county health officer. No such animals or fowl, except a horse,
shall under any circumstances be kept on the same lot or premises
with a multiple building.

No person who owns or keeps any dog shall allow or permit such
dog to run at large in the Village beyond the limits of the land of
the person owning or keeping such dog. Dogs on leash or accompanied
by the owner or keeper thereof shall not be deemed to be running at
large.

Whenever any dog shall bite any person or other animal, the
county animal control shall seize such dog and place it in the county
pound or other suitable place, and such dog shall be tested for rabies.
The owner or keeper of such dog shall pay any and all expenses incurred
in determining whether such dog is suffering from rabies, and failure
to pay such charges upon demand shall be a misdemeanor.

Except as otherwise expressly allowed by ordinance, no excessive
number of animals or fowl shall be raised or kept in the Village.
For purposes of this section, excessive shall mean a total of five
or more of the same species. Newborn animals or fowl may be kept a
maximum of eight weeks.
