The following named streets or portions of streets are hereby
designated and declared to be routes for heavy traffic:
A. North Lake Drive from the north Village limits to the south Village
limits.
B. East and West Silver Spring Drive from the west Village limits to
the easternmost extension of said street.
C. East Hampton Road from the west Village limits to the easternmost
extension of said street.
D. North Oakland Avenue from East Hampton Road to the south Village
limits.
E. North Wilson Drive from the south Village limits to the most northwesterly
portion of said street where it intersects with North Santa Monica
Boulevard.
F. North Santa Monica Boulevard from East Hampton Road to the most southerly
portion of said street where it intersects with North Wilson Drive.
No person or persons shall operate any commercial vehicle weighing
more than 6,000 pounds, except for a commercial motor bus and except
for Whitefish Bay Village employees operating Whitefish Bay municipal
motor vehicles in the performance of municipal services, over any
street or streets except the streets above named. This article, however,
shall not prohibit the use of any street for the purpose of delivering
or moving supplies or commodities to or from any place of business
or residence on such street.
No operator of any commercial vehicle, weighing more than 6,000 pounds, other than commercial motor buses and except for Whitefish Bay Village employees operating Whitefish Bay municipal motor vehicles in the performance of municipal services, shall park such vehicle on any street in the Village other than a street designated by the Village for heavy traffic pursuant to provisions of §
6-53 hereof and subject to the exceptions enumerated in §
6-54 hereof.
On Village streets which have been designated as "heavy traffic
routes," there shall be erected appropriate signs giving notice thereof.
