The Township establishes a Green Team Advisory Committee consisting of up to 15 members. All members shall be residents or employees of the Township, appointed annually by the Mayor.
The initial term of appointment of all persons who are referenced herein shall be through December 31, 2016.[1]

The mission of the Stafford Township Green Team Advisory Committee will be to advise the Township Committee on ways to improve municipal operations with green initiatives which are economically and environmentally sound through research and evaluation.
The goals of the Stafford Township Green Team Advisory Committee will be to submit a report and recommendations to the Township Council by November 1, 2016, for actions to be considered for the 2017 budget year, including a report of suggested best practices for greener municipal operations.[1]

The objectives of the Stafford Township Green Team Advisory Committee will be as follows:
A. 
Collaborate with Township employees, service providers and other governmental agencies to share resource information and ideas consistent with the mission of the Committee.
B. 
Encourage participation of all employees to solicit ideas on green initiatives.
C. 
Research and analyze green initiatives which make practical environmental and financial sense.
D. 
Develop strategies for sustainable green initiatives in municipal operations.
The Mayor and Township Clerk and all other proper officers and employees of the Township are hereby authorized and directed to take any and all steps necessary to effectuate the purpose of this article.
No debt is authorized by the enactment and passage of this article.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this article is for any reason held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the remaining portions of this article.
