It is the purpose of this article to have operators of motor
vehicles park in a manner that does not present a danger to other
vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
No person shall park a motor vehicle on the roadway side of
any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of the roadway.
As used in this article, the term "motor vehicle" shall have
the definition given in the Michigan Vehicle Code, MCL 257.301 et
seq., as amended.
Double parking constitutes a municipal civil infraction and
shall be punishable by civil fine of not more than $500 and court
costs.
