Article I Fees for Delinquent Accounts

§ 135-1 Collection fee.

The Village of Bannockburn hereby assesses a collection fee in an amount not to exceed 35% on all delinquent accounts submitted to a collection agency.

§ 135-2 Severability; conflicting provisions.

If any provisions of this chapter shall for any reason be held to be illegal or invalid, such illegality or invalidity shall not affect any other provisions of said chapter, but the same shall be construed and enforced as if such illegal or invalid provisions had not been contained therein. Any constitutional or statutory provisions enacted after the date of this chapter which validate or make legal any provisions thereof shall be deemed to apply hereto. This chapter supersedes any prior ordinance of the Village in conflict herewith.
