The Township is hereby authorized to enter into an intergovernmental
cooperation agreement with Butler City to share a Fire Chief in a
form similar to the agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein
as Exhibit "A" and otherwise in form acceptable to the President of
the Township Board of Commissioners and the Township Solicitor (the
"agreement").[1] Pursuant to the requirements of the Intergovernmental
Cooperation Act, 53 Pa.C.S.A. § 2301 et seq., as amended,
the terms of the agreement and this article, through incorporation
of the agreement, set forth: the conditions of the agreement for cooperation
among Butler Township and Butler City for sharing a Fire Chief; the
duration of the term of the agreement; the purposes and objectives
of the agreement, including the powers and scope of the authority
delegated in the agreement; the manner and extent of financing the
agreement; and the organizational structure necessary to implement
the agreement. Because of the nature of this agreement, §§ 2307(6)
and 2307(7) of the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act are not applicable.

The appropriate Township officials are hereby authorized to
execute the agreement and to take any and all actions necessary to
effectuate the same.
