The Town of Lyons, New York, has the power and authority to
approve plans for subdivisions within its corporate limits by virtue
of a resolution adopted by the Town Board on June 7, 1962, pursuant
to the provisions of Article 16, Chapter 62 of the Consolidated Town
Laws, as amended. These land subdivision regulations were adopted
by the Planning Board on December 15, 1969, and approved by the Town
Board on December 17, 1969.

No subdivision of any lot, tract or parcel of land shall be effected,
no street, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water main or other facilities
in connection therewith shall be laid out, constructed, open or dedicated
for public use and travel, for the common use of occupants of buildings
abutting thereon except in strict accordance with the provisions of
this chapter.

All plans for subdivisions shall be submitted to the Town Planning
Board and approved by it before they shall be recorded.

The provisions contained herein shall apply to all land within the
limits of the Town of Lyons.
This chapter has been adopted in order to create conditions
favorable to the health, safety, morals and general welfare of the
citizens of the Town of Lyons through the provision of regulations
that will ensure the harmonious development of the community.
These regulations shall be known and may be cited as the "Subdivision
Regulations of the Town of Lyons."
