A City Street Commissioner shall be appointed at the regular
meeting in April and hold office for two (2) years. It shall be his/her
duty to have general supervision over the care and maintenance of
the streets, alleys, avenues, bridges and parks of the City and all
tools and implements of the City pertaining to such maintenance or
construction.

He/she shall work together with the Board of Aldermen to determine
the best means for maintaining and improving any part of the City
or City property.
