Tobacco and e-cigarette use is prohibited in the outdoor recreational
facilities in the City of Parsons, Kansas, in Forest Park, Lopez Park,
Clark Park, Circle Park, Glenwood Park, Winway Park ball fields, and
the recreational/ball field/swimming pool area bounded on the north
by Broadway Avenue, the south by Grand Avenue, the west by Heacock
Avenue and the east by the Frisco walking trail.
Designated smoking areas in the above recreational facilities
may be designated by the City Manager upon approval by the City Commission.
Any person found to be in violation of this section shall be
subject to a fine of $25 in Municipal Court and shall be subject to
immediate ejection from the City park or recreational facility.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
The ingestion of nicotine or other substances used in any
electronic or battery-powered device/vaporizer that simulates tobacco
smoking or vaping by producing an aerosol that resembles smoke, vapor
or any component thereof.
Ingestion of any product containing, made, or derived from
tobacco or containing nicotine, whether synthetically produced or
derived from any other source that is intended for human consumption.
