Volunteer fire companies operating within the Township of North
East are hereby authorized to recover the costs of providing services
within said Township from the recipients of said service and/or persons
whose action or failure to act caused the events occasioning the need
for said services and who are legally responsible for the damages
arising therefrom.
Costs recovered shall be limited to those expenses for which
volunteer fire companies are allowed to recover under the laws of
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and shall be in accordance with schedules
established by the respective fire company seeking recovery.
Statements seeking cost recovery shall identify by name the
fire company seeking the recovery.
Fire companies engaging in cost recovery shall file an annual
report with the Township of the costs recovered by reason of operation
within the Township.
