[The Erie Civic Center Authority was created under the provisions of the Municipal Authorities Act of 1945, approved 5-2-1945 (P.L. 382) as amended, and Ordinance 69-1976, passed 9-15-1976, as amended by Ordinance 72-1982, passed 9-8-1982. The purpose of the Authority is to acquire, hold, construct, improve, maintain and operate, own, lease, either in the capacity of lessor or lessee, all facilities necessary or incidental therefor for the operation of a Civic Center Complex in the City.]
