A.
The Fire Department under the supervision of a Fire Chief, appointed as specified by § 200-7 of the Administrative Code, shall consist of firefighters as may be recommended by the Fire Chief and approved by the Town Manager.
B.
The Fire Department shall carry out the following general functions:
suppression and rescue; protection, inspection and investigation.
The Fire Chief shall have all the powers designated to fire
chiefs as defined in RSA 154.
The functions of the Fire Department are to:

Extinguish fires and protect life and property against fires.
B.
Care for and maintain the Town fire alarm system.
C.
Care for and maintain all property and equipment assigned to the
Fire Department.
D.
Issue permits as required.
E.
Plan and carry out a training program of instruction for all firefighters.
F.
Cooperate with surrounding communities through mutual aid programs
so that additional firefighting may be made available when needed.
G.
Enforce all laws regarding the prevention/inspection for and removal
of fire hazards and prevention of fires.
H.
Plan and carry out a regular inspection program throughout the community.
I.
Promote and encourage an awareness of personnel safety through community
service.
J.
Prepare and maintain all Fire Department records as required.
K.
Perform all other related functions as required.
