Any fees, charges or sums due the Town of Macedon by any person,
firm, corporation, association or other organization for which penalties
and/or interest for late or nonpayment are not otherwise prescribed
shall be subject to the following penalty and interest charges:
A.Â
Penalty of 5% of the amount due after 30 days of due date. The due
date shall be that set by local law, regulation or ordinance or, if
there is none, 30 days after invoice.
B.Â
Interest at the rate of 12% per annum upon the amount due after 30
days of due date. The due date shall be that set by local law, regulations
or ordinance or, if there is none, 30 days after invoice.
The penalties and interest charges set out in § 159-1 shall be in addition to, and not in lieu of, any remedies otherwise available to the Town of Macedon.
