The Mayor and Council hereby create and reconstitute as a part
of this Code the Mayor's Teen Advisory Committee.
The Mayor's Teen Advisory Committee shall have the following
membership and organization:
A. The Committee shall be composed of an Executive Committee and a general
membership as follows:
(1) The Executive Committee shall be composed of seven members as follows:
(a)
Two of the seven members shall be adult advisors appointed by
the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council; and
(b)
The remaining five members shall be chosen by a majority vote
of the general membership.
(c)
The terms of office for the members of the Teens Advisory Executive
Committee shall be as follows:

A term of two years for the two adult supervisors appointed
by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Borough Council, to
serve until the appointment and qualification of their successors;
and
[2]
A term of two years for two of the remaining five members elected
by the general membership, to serve annually until the election and
qualification of their successors; and
[3]
A term of one year for three of the remaining five members elected
by the general membership, to serve until the election and qualification
of their successors.
The Mayor's Teen Advisory Committee shall administer, plan and
manage the teen and youth initiatives of the Borough of Highland Park
strictly as an advisory body, with no power to regulate or promulgate
rules and regulations. The Executive Committee shall report to the
Mayor and Council on a regular basis concerning the Mayor's Teen Advisory
Committee activities. Advice and recommendations shall be provided
with regard to the operation and programming of the Teen Center. The
Mayor's Teen Advisory Committee shall also make recommendations to
foster better communication with teens living in the Borough of Highland
Park and facilitate more teen involvement within said Borough.
