City of Royal Oak, MI Article III Prohibition of Marihuana Establishments

§ 288-9 Short title.

This article shall be known as and may be referred to as the "Prohibition of Marihuana Establishments Ordinance."

§ 288-10 Statement of purpose.

The purpose of this article is to prohibit marihuana establishments in the City of Royal Oak, pursuant to Initiated Law 1 of 2018, MCLA § 333.27951 et seq., as may be amended.

§ 288-11 Definitions.

Words used herein shall be defined as provided in Initiated Law 1 of 2018, MCLA § 333.27951 et seq., as may be amended.

§ 288-12 Marihuana establishments prohibited.

The City of Royal Oak hereby completely prohibits marihuana establishments within the boundaries of the City, pursuant to Initiated Law 1 of 2018, MCLA § 333.27951 et seq., as may be amended, until December 1, 2020.

§ 288-13 Violations and penalties.

A person who violates this article is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $500 and/or 90 days in jail.
