This district is intended to provide locations for low density residential development, primarily in single-family platted subdivisions or site condominium developments. Reduced lot sizes are permitted in those locations where public water and sanitary sewer are available or can be provided. This district is specifically intended to accommodate housing in areas of the Township where low density development has previously occurred. Development within the R-1 District should preserve, to the extent feasible, natural resources and rural character, consistent with the goals and policies of the Township Master Plan.
Land, buildings and structures in the R-1 District shall be used only for the purposes stated in Table 450-6.02, as follows:
