[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Upper Moreland Township 4-1-2019 by Ord. No. 1698. Amendments noted where applicable]
The Upper Moreland Township Police Department is hereby authorized to implement a Township notice of violation to enforce the provisions of Chapters 63, 70, 80, 148, 153, 177, 203, 217, 223, 231, 234, 236, and 290.

Alleged violators of the provisions of the chapters set forth in Subsection A above may be issued a Township notice of violation by the Upper Moreland Police Department, imposing a fine based on the quantity of notices of violation the person has been issued for the particular violation, in accordance with the amounts set forth below, unless otherwise specified in the particular chapter or section:
A. 
First offense: warning.
B. 
Second offense: fine of $20.
C. 
Third offense: fine of $25.
D. 
Fourth offense: fine of $50.
E. 
Fifth offense: fine of $100.

A. 
The Police Department may issue nontraffic citations for six or more violations of the chapters set forth in Subsection A, unless otherwise specified in the particular chapter or section, or at any time the Police Department deems appropriate.
B. 
Should the alleged violator fail to pay the fine or challenge the notice of violation within five days of the date of issuance, unless otherwise specified in the particular chapter or section, the Police Department may rescind it and file a nontraffic citation with the Township Magisterial District Judge.
