Editor's Note: The Planning Board for the Town of North Greenbush was appointed by resolution of the Town of North Greenbush 10-10-60 and exists and operates pursuant to the provisions of the Town Law, § 271 et seq. A resolution adopted 3-12-62 authorizes and empowers the Planning Board to review and approve new subdivisions of land in the Town of North Greenbush consistent with the requirements of Article 16 of the Town Law. It was further resolved by this resolution of 3-12-62 that the Planning Board of the Town of North Greenbush is authorized and empowered to review and approve previously filed plats covering lands in the Town of North Greenbush which are wholly or partially undeveloped, as provided by Article 16 of the Town Law.
Effective January 1, 2014, the North Greenbush Planning Board shall consist of five regular members. Every existing member with an unexpired term as of January 1, 2014, shall complete their terms as per the original appointment. Successors shall be appointed for a term of five years from and after the expiration of the terms of their predecessors in office.
Planning Board members shall be entitled to compensation as established by the Town Board.
The North Greenbush Planning Board shall exist and operate pursuant to Article 16 of the New York State Town Law and any laws, resolutions or ordinances duly enacted by the Town Board.
The North Greenbush Town Board may, by resolution, appoint up to two alternate Planning Board Members who shall serve in the event a regular member has a conflict of interest. The Board resolution shall set forth the term of the alternate as well as the scope of their duties and compensation.
