Departments, Offices, Boards, Commissions and Committees. There shall be the following departments, offices, boards, commissions and committees in the Borough of Woodland Park:

Separate Offices Not Under Departments.
1. 
Municipal Clerk.
2. 
Municipal Attorney.
3. 
Prosecutor.
4. 
Public Defender.
5. 
Municipal Engineer.
6. 
Municipal Auditor.
c. 
Municipal Courts.
1. 
Municipal Court.
d. 
Boards and Commissions.
1. 
Board of Adjustment.
2. 
Planning Board.

Committees.
1. 
There shall be six standing Council Committees designated as follows:
(a) 
Administration and Finance.
(b) 
Buildings and Grounds/Public Works.
(c) 
Public Safety.
(d) 
Health and Senior Services.
(e) 
Recreation and Community Relations.
(f) 
Laws and Ordinances.
2. 
Each Committee shall be composed of a Chair and one committee member, and one alternate committee member. The Mayor shall be an ex-officio member of all Committees.
3. 
Each member of the Council shall be appointed to two standing Committees, and one committee as an alternate member.
4. 
Each member of the Council shall serve as Chair of one of the standing Committees.
5. 
Each Committee shall be responsible for coordinating the work of the departments, offices, boards, commissions and act as a liaison to outside community organizations within the jurisdiction of each respective Committee.
6. 
Each Chair shall at least monthly report to the Mayor and Council and make such recommendations as he or she shall think appropriate. No Committee shall take any action which shall be binding until reported to and approved by the Mayor and Council.
7. 
The jurisdiction of each Committee shall consist of the following departments, offices, boards, commissions, and organizations including all personnel affiliated therewith:
(a) 
Administration and Finance: Department of Administration, Department of Finance, Administrator, Chief Financial Officer, Auditor and all other departments, offices, boards and commissions and personnel not specifically falling in the stated jurisdiction of any other Committee.
(b) 
Buildings and Grounds/Public Works: Department of Public Works, Department of Water, Municipal Engineer.
(c) 
Public Safety: Department of Police, Department of Fire, Department of Fire Signal Systems, Office of Emergency Management, liaison to the Woodland Park First Aid Squad.
(d) 
Health, Senior Services and Veteran's Affairs: Board of Health and liaison to the Senior Club and American Legion Post #238 and Veteran's Affairs.
(e) 
Recreation and Community Relations: Library Board, Municipal Alliance, Public Relations, and liaison to the Boys and Girls Club and other local youth organizations.
(f) 
Laws and Ordinances: Municipal Attorney, Board of Adjustment, Planning Board, Prosecutor, Public Defender, Municipal Court, Code Enforcement.
