There shall be a Municipal Court pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 to be known as the "Municipal Court of the Borough of Woodland Park, Passaic County." The Municipal Court shall have a seal bearing the impress of the name of the Court. The Court shall be held in the Municipal Building or any other place the Council shall designate, and shall exercise all of the functions, powers, duties and jurisdiction conferred upon municipal courts by the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 et seq., or any other law.

There shall be a Judge of the Municipal Court appointed by the Governing Body. The Judge of the Municipal Court shall serve for a term of three (3) years from the date of appointment and until a successor shall be appointed and qualified. The Judge of the Municipal Court shall have and possess the qualifications, and shall have, possess and exercise all of the functions, duties, powers and jurisdiction conferred by N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 et seq., or by general law or ordinance.

There is hereby established the office of Municipal Court Administrator. The Court Administrator shall be appointed by the Governing Body. The Court Administrator shall be a legal voter of the Borough and shall, before entering upon the duties of this office, enter into a bond to the Borough as required by law, in such amount and with such sureties as shall be in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:5-38. The Court Administrator shall:
a. 
Attend all sessions of the Municipal Court.
b. 
Keep the official seal and records of the Court.
c. 
Collect, provide a receipt for and account to the Judge of the Municipal Court for all fines, costs, impositions and bail which may be paid into or deposited with the Court.
d. 
Assists the Judge of the Municipal Court in the business administration of the Court.
e. 
Perform other functions and duties as shall be prescribed for this office by law, by the rules of the State of New Jersey and by the Judge of the Municipal Court.

The Governing Body may designate any officer or employee of the municipality to serve as a Deputy Court Administrator with or without additional compensation. The Deputy Court Administrator shall serve in place of the Court Administrator in the absence of the Court Administrator.

There shall be a Sergeant-at-Arms of the Municipal Court who shall have such powers and duties as are prescribed by the Judge and the rules governing the conduct of Municipal Courts.
