No person shall inhumanely, unnecessarily or cruelly beat, injure, overload, overwork, starve, neglect or otherwise abuse any dumb animal.

A. 
No more than two (2) dogs and/or cats of licensing age shall be kept, maintained or harbored at one time in any residential housing unit or on its grounds or in any business establishment or its grounds or on any property within the limits of the City of Orange Township. For the purposes of this chapter; residential housing unit shall be defined as: a single family house, each residential house within a duplex, a townhouse, as well individual apartment or condominium within a two or three-family dwelling or multi-family apartment structure. The provisions of this section shall not apply to any residential housing unit where there are presently three (3) licensed dogs and/or cats. However, upon death or removal of said licensed dogs and/or cats; the provisions of this section shall control.
B. 
Compliance with Subsection A. Upon official notification of this violation, and after a ten (10) day period for compliance, the owners or renters in violation shall be summoned for each day that such violation exists, by the Animal Control Officer, Housing Inspector, Police Officer or any other officer or agent authorized to perform any duty under this chapter.
C. 
Applicability. The restrictions placed in Subsection A shall not apply to properly licensed kennels, pet shops, pounds or shelters.

There shall be a fee as provided in Chapter 88 per animal payable to the City of Orange Township upon relinquishing the animal to the Animal Control Officer.

There shall be a deposit charge as provided in Chapter 88 per small trap.
There shall be a deposit charge as provided in Chapter 88 per large trap.
Deposit returned upon relinquishing of trap to Animal Control Officer.
