Article II Glass Beverage Containers

[Adopted 11-5-81 as Ord. No. 54-81]

For the purposes of this Article, the following words shall have the meanings indicated:

A container designed to contain, and sold to consumers containing, beer, malt beverage, wine, distilled spirits or alcoholic beverages, mineral water, soda and soda water, juice or carbonated or noncarbonated soft drinks of any variety in liquid form and intended for human consumption. This definition shall not include containers to be used in feeding infants or containers for prescription and/or nonprescription drugs.

§ 145-13 Possession prohibited.

Use or possession of glass beverage containers is hereby prohibited within the confines of all Orange municipal parks and playgrounds in the City of Orange.

§ 145-14 Violations and penalties.

Any person violating any provision of this article shall be subject to a fine of not more than $50 for each violation occurrence of this article.

§ 145-15 Confiscation by police.

Any glass beverage container found in the possession of any person in Orange municipal parks and playgrounds may be confiscated by the Orange police.
