A. 
Board of Commissioners. The Board of Commissioners shall act as legislative and executive branch of the government of Muhlenberg Township exercising the authority set forth in this chapter and the First Class Township Code as a body as stated herein and therein. The Board shall not direct the day-to-day work or decisions of the Township Manager, Chief of Police or other staff.
B. 
Township Manager. The Township Manager shall perform the duties and functions set forth in Chapter 49 of the Code of the Township of Muhlenberg, including responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Township and direction, supervision and management of all nonuniform staff.
C. 
Chief of Police. The Chief of Police shall oversee and be responsible for the day-to-day operations, including directing, supervising and managing all employees, of the Police Department and serving as the chief administrative officer of said Department. The Chief of Police shall report to the Township Manager.
