There is hereby created and established in the Township of Winslow the position of Zoning Officer.
The Zoning Officer shall be appointed by the Mayor and Township Committee, and shall serve at the pleasure of the governing body.
The duties of the Zoning Officer shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
A. 
To interpret Chapters 294 (Zoning) and 296 (Zoning Within Pinelands Area) of Township Code in accordance with their literal intent.
B. 
To be responsible for the enforcement of Chapters 294 (Zoning), 296 (Zoning Within Pinelands Area), and all conditions of approval granted by the Winslow Township Planning and Zoning Boards, including investigation of complaints arising under said chapters and the prosecution of violations thereof.
C. 
Upon the request of the Planning Board or the Zoning Board of Adjustment, to present such facts, records or similar information so as to assist those agencies in making a decision in a matter brought before it.
D. 
To be responsible for issuing zoning permits in accordance with Section 40-54.1 of the Township Code.
The Zoning Officer shall be paid a salary fixed and adopted by the governing body in the annual salary ordinance.
