Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:14-156, the governing body of the Township of Winslow hereby agrees to the provision of reciprocal police assistance, as hereafter proscribed, with those municipal corporations in Camden County and in those counties contiguous to Camden County which demonstrate their reciprocity by the enactment of a similar ordinance.
A. 
Upon committing such reciprocal police assistance, no payment shall be required to be made by the assisted municipality providing such assistance.
B. 
This nonpayment provision includes but is not necessarily limited to:
(1) 
Police salaries.
(2) 
Costs of automobiles.
(3) 
Motorcycles.
(4) 
Use of police dogs.
(5) 
Costs of other equipment or expenses incurred by providing such assistance.
C. 
This nonpayment provision is in lieu of those rates of pay and rental set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A: 14-156 and as required by law.
A. 
The Township of Winslow may withdraw from and terminate its part in this agreement at the end of any calendar year.
B. 
Notice of such intention to terminate shall be given no later than November 1 of each year to each participant herein.
C. 
Otherwise, the agreement shall be renewed on a yearly basis.
A. 
The Mutual Aid Operations Plan promulgated by the Camden County Chiefs of Police Association proscribing the specifics of emergency reciprocal police assistance is hereby incorporated by reference without inclusion herein.
B. 
Such Mutual Aid Operations Plan will be updated periodically, but such update will not be enacted until distribution to all parties hereto for their edification and whatever action they may deem appropriate.
The Chief of Police shall annually, and as soon after the end of the year as practicable, furnish the Mayor and Township Committee with a summary report of services rendered and received, with his comments and recommendations.
