This article creates advisory Boards, Commissions and rules of operation.
a. 
Each Board and Commission will elect a Chairperson, if not appointed by appointing authority.
b. 
Each Board and Commission will set regularly scheduled meetings (weekly, monthly, quarterly, as needed, etc.).
c. 
Each Board and Commission will submit periodic reports (oral or written) to the appointing authority. There shall be at least an annual report.
d. 
Participation in functions and attendance at meetings is desired by appointing authorities, therefore "unexcused" absences at one-third (1/3) of scheduled meetings during term of appointment may be cause for removal.

a. 
Created; Membership; Term. There is hereby created an Animal Control Advisory Board, which shall consist of five (5) members to be appointed by the Township Council to serve without compensation for terms of one (1) year from the first day of July of the year of appointment and until their successors are appointed and qualified. At least one (1) such member shall be a doctor of veterinary medicine. The Animal Control Board shall consult with the Director of the Department of Licensing, Vital Statistics and Animal Control or his designee on matters relating to the care and well being, and control of animals within the Township, shall formulate plans for the establishment and development of programs relating to animal control and welfare, and shall submit all such plans to the Director of the Department of Licensing, Vital Statistics and Animal Control and to the Township Council.

Creation; Members; Terms. There is hereby created an Advisory Board of Health which shall consist of not more than twenty (20) members to be appointed by the Mayor to serve without compensation for a term of two (2) years from April 1 of the year of appointment and until their successors are appointed and qualified.
b. 
Duties. The Advisory Board of Health shall study health matters of the Township, including but not limited to restaurant sanitation, noise pollution, pesticide usage and medical waste disposal, and shall make reports to the Director of Licensing, Vital Statistics and Animal Control and to the Township Council.

Creation; Members; Term. There is hereby created a Senior Citizens Advisory Board which shall consist of sixteen (16) members to be appointed by the Mayor, to serve without compensation for terms of one (1) year from July 1 of the year of appointment and until their successors are appointed and qualified.
b. 
Duties. The Senior Citizens Advisory Board shall consider the problems of older persons and formulate programs in regard to the senior citizens of the Township including without limitations, the problems of housing, medical care, recreation and report from time to time its recommendations in the area of senior citizens problems to the Mayor of the Township.

Created; Members; Term. There is hereby created a Youth Advisory Board which shall consist of seven (7) junior high representatives, twelve (12) senior high representatives and four (4) aged eighteen (18) and over representatives. In addition, the Board will have five (5) adult liaison representatives appointed by the Mayor. The Board will serve without compensation from date of appointment until December 31 and until their successors are appointed and qualified.
b. 
Purpose. The Youth Advisory Board shall act as a forum through which the Board's representatives could express the needs of their peers, present their ideas to the Mayor, and assist in the implementation of proposed programs.

Created; Members; Terms. There is hereby created a Cable Television Advisory Board which shall consist of seven (7) members to be appointed by the Council to serve without compensation for a term of one (1) year from January 1 of the year of appointment and until their successors are appointed and qualified.
b. 
Duties. The Cable Television Board will make recommendations for Ordinance and guidelines for selecting a cable television franchise and review and monitor any cable television franchise awarded.
This Board shall be activated one (1) year prior to renewal of existing franchises or consideration of any new franchises.

Creation; Members; Terms. There is hereby created an Advisory Cultural Arts Board which shall consist of twenty-one (21) members to be appointed by the Mayor to serve without compensation for terms of three (3) years from January 1 of the year of appointments and until their successors are appointed and qualify.
b. 
Duties. The Advisory Cultural Arts Board shall encourage and guide the development of cultural activities throughout the Township and shall encourage the performance of both professional and amateur groups of all performing arts such as: drama, dance and music; and shall encourage the development of all cultural activities, and report from time to time its recommendations to the Council.

a. 
Creation; Membership; Terms. There is hereby created a Residential Condominium Advisory Board, appointed by Council, which shall consist of six (6) members each of whom shall reside within a residential condominium development, three (3) members each of whom shall not reside within a residential condominium development and one (1) member who shall be appointed to represent the residential condominium developers in Cherry Hill. Members shall serve without compensation for a term of one (1) year from July 1 of the year of appointment and will terminate after one (1) year unless reappointed.
b. 
Purpose. The creation of this Board will be for the sole purpose of considering and making recommendations to Council with respect to issues and problems having particular relevance to residential condominiums within the Township.

a. 
Continuance of Board. The General Board for the making of all special assessments, as established under Ordinance 88-80, is hereby continued with all rights and duties as set forth therein.

Creation; Members; Term. There is hereby created an advisory Environmental Board which shall consist of nine members to be appointed by the Mayor, to serve without compensation for terms of four years from January 1 of the year of appointment and until their successors are appointed and qualified.
b. 
Duties. The advisory Environmental Board shall research and develop strategies and plans geared toward protecting, improving and utilizing our natural resources.

The Township officials are hereby authorized to create the Cherry Hill Economic Development Corporation, for the purpose of discharging in part the economic development functions of the Township by promoting and assisting in the funding of projects to further the industrial, commercial and economic development of the Township of Cherry Hill.
