This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the Administrative Code of the City of Linden and is herein referred to as the Code.

The official seal of the City of Linden shall consist of a circle not less than one and one-quarter (1 1/4) inches in diameter bearing the words inscribed in the circle: SEAL OF THE CITY OF LINDEN IN THE COUNTY OF UNION, N.J., and in the center of the circle shall be a Linden tree, and on the left of the trunk of the tree shall be inscribed INC., and on the right of the trunk of the tree shall be inscribed 1925.

Pursuant to statutory provisions, which provide for the readjustment of ward boundary lines, and for the readjustment of boundaries of election districts to accommodate population changes, the City is hereby divided into ten (10) wards and thirty-six (36) election districts as designated and delineated upon a certain map entitled, "Ward Boundary Map, City of Linden, Union County, New Jersey," dated March 15, 1972, revised March 8, 1978, revised December 27, 2001, and further revised November 13, 2003, which map is now and shall remain on file in the office of the City Clerk as a public record and which is adopted herein by reference as if fully reproduced in this Revision.
