[Ord. No. 2017-69]
The Woodbridge Police Department Communications Center is the
designated center for the dispatching of emergency medical services
(EMS) within the Township of Woodbridge. Each first aid squad will
be responsible for maintaining minimum staffing requirements as set
forth by the Woodbridge Police Department. The Woodbridge Police Department
Communications Center will only dispatch ambulances from first aid
squads which are presently staffed. For all calls requiring emergency
medical services response, the Woodbridge Police Department Communications
Center will determine what type of response is needed. Dispatch of
an ambulance from a particular first aid squad will be determined
by which first aid squad can provide the quickest response to the
scene based on staffing and proximity to the scene.
