It is unlawful for any person to park a motor vehicle in the
assigned parking spaces in the front of the Municipal Building in
those spaces that are specifically assigned or reserved for designated
individuals or officers.
Except as provided in §
34-1, the Municipal Building parking lots are to be used by the general public in accordance with the following regulations:
A. The Municipal Building parking lot is to be used by members of the
general public who are attending to business in the Municipal Building
or are participating in municipal-sanctioned or -sponsored activities.
B. No individual shall park in the designated handicapped parking spaces
at the Municipal Building unless they have a handicapped license plate
affixed to their car.
C. During normal business hours, members of the general public shall
not park in any parking space which has been reserved for the municipal
officers or employees.
D. Persons parking in the Municipal Building parking lot shall park
their cars within the parking lines for each parking space. No person
shall park his car in such a fashion as to take up more than one (1)
parking space or obstruct the fire lanes or access to and from the
parking lot.
E. The servicing or repair of automobiles or trucks is strictly prohibited
in the Municipal Building parking lot or public grounds.
Any person violating this chapter shall be subject to a fine
of five dollars ($5). The continuation of such violation for each
successive day shall constitute a separate offense, and the person
allowing or permitting the continuation of the violation shall be
fined as provided above for each separate offense.
