Chapter 2 Administration

The form of government in the Township of Maurice River is the Township Form which comprises Chapter 63 in Title 40A of the New Jersey Revised Statutes. The Administrative Chapter has been drafted in conformity with the Township law and in many instances, provisions of the Township law have been restated in the Code. Other enabling laws pertaining to the Administrative Chapter are N.J.S.A. 40A:14-1, et seq., Police and Fire Departments; N.J.S.A. 2A:8-1 et seq., Municipal Court; N.J.S.A. 40:55D-69, Zoning Board of Adjustment; N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1, Planning Board; N.J.S.A. 26:3-1 et seq., Board of Health; Environmental Advisory Committee, N.J.S.A. 40:48-2 and 40:55D-27.
