Appointment. The Township Committee may by resolution appoint any
person or persons of suitable character, and who has been a resident
of the Township for a period of two (2) years, a Special Officer of
the Township for a period not exceeding one (1) year.
b.
Powers; Duties; Compensation. The person or persons so appointed
shall have and exercise all the powers and perform all the duties
of a policeman or such other special duties, as may be designated
in the resolution of appointment and shall be entitled to such compensation
as may be fixed by resolution of the Township Committee.
