[1967 Code § 14-1-1]
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2A:8-1, there is hereby established a Municipal Court, in and for the Township, to be known as the Municipal Court of the Township of Millburn, in the County of Essex.

The Municipal Court shall have a seal, which shall be similar, except as to the name, to the seal of the Township, and in place of the name and legend upon the Township seal, the seal of the court shall bear the name of the court.

There shall be a Judge of the Municipal Court, who shall be appointed by the Township Committee and who shall serve for a term as prescribed by law,[1] and until his/her successor is appointed and qualified. The Municipal Court and the Judge thereof shall have, possess and exercise all of the functions, powers, duties and jurisdiction conferred by the laws of the State.

The position of Court Administrator is hereby established. The Court Administrator shall be appointed by the Business Administrator of the Township Committee subject to law. The Court Administrator shall perform such functions and duties as shall be prescribed by law, the rules applicable to municipal courts, and by the Judge.

There shall be a Deputy Court Administrator appointed by the Business Administrator with the approval of the Township Committee. The Deputy Court Administrator shall have such powers and perform such duties as may be prescribed by the Court Administrator, the Judge and by law.
