The purpose of this district is to preserve productive agricultural land resources and to provide for low-density single-family residential development that will be compatible with agricultural pursuits and will preserve natural features in areas where public sewers are not anticipated in the near future and to provide for accessory uses and compatible public and semipublic uses as conditional uses or uses by special exception.

In the A-1 Agricultural District, only the following uses are authorized:

In the A-1 Agricultural District, all uses shall be subject to the following regulations, except as they may be modified by the express standards and criteria for the specific conditional uses and uses by special exception contained in Part 13:

(1) 
Agriculture: 10 acres (435,600 square feet).
(2) 
Airport or airstrip: 10 acres (435,600 square feet).
(3) 
Boarding stable: 10 acres (435,600 square feet).
(4) 
Mobile home park: five acres (435,600 square feet).
(5) 
Private stable, kennel or specialized animal raising: five acres (217,800 square feet).
(6) 
Riding academy (commercial or noncommercial): 10 acres (435,600 square feet).
