The purpose of this chapter is to establish policies and procedures
for the collection of fees associated with the performance of marriage
and civil union ceremonies performed by the Mayor.
B.
Compensation
through the performance of marriage and civil union ceremonies.
(1)
Receipt of fees. The fee shall be paid by check to the Borough of
Somerville and shall be deposited in the Borough's current fund.
(2)
Disbursement of fees. The fee for service in the amount of one hundred
fifty dollars ($150) may be disbursed to the Mayor in the amount of
one hundred fifty dollars ($150) through the appropriate budget line
item and with the appropriate authorization.
(3)
The Mayor may waive the officiant fee but shall not waive the administrative
fee.
