In accordance with and pursuant to the authority of P.L. 1999 c. 185 (N.J.S.A. 39:4-50) the following is a list of school crossings which are so designated by the Borough of Somerville:
A. 
Gaston Avenue and Main Street;
B. 
Rehill Avenue and Main Street;
C. 
Vanderveer School and Union Avenue;
D. 
Gaston Avenue and Union Avenue;
E. 
Gaston Avenue and Schoolhouse Lane;
F. 
Grove Street and Cliff Street;
G. 
Bridge Street and Cliff Street;
H. 
Davenport Street and Cliff Street;
I. 
Mountain Avenue and Cliff Street;
J. 
Mountain Avenue and High Street;
K. 
Davenport Street and High Street;
L. 
Ross Street and High Street;
M. 
Gaston Avenue and Cliff Street;
N. 
South Bridge Street and Veterans Memorial Drive;
O. 
Grove Street and Spring Street.
The maps designated as "Exhibit A Vanderveer Elementary School;" "Exhibit B Middle School/Central School/Immaculate Conception School;" and "Exhibit C Immaculata High School/Somerville High School" and adopted as the '"Drug-Free School Zone Map" by Section 14-1 of the "Code of the Borough of Somerville," are hereby approved and adopted by reference as displaying the locations and areas within the Borough of Somerville which are used for school purposes and which are owned by or leased to any elementary or secondary school on school land and of the areas on or within one thousand (1000) feet of such school property. The aforesaid maps shall also be collectively known as the "Drunk Driving-Free School Zones Map."
The Drunk Driving-Free School Zones Map approved and adopted in Section 13-2 shall constitute an official finding and record of the location and boundaries of areas on or within one thousand (1000) feet of property owned by or leased to any elementary or secondary school or School Board which is used for school purposes and shall continue as such unless and until this Chapter shall be amended to reflect any additions or deletions with respect to the location and boundaries of school property and drunk driving-free school zones. The list of school crossings designated in Section 13-1 shall constitute an official finding and record of the location of school crossings and shall continue as such unless and until this Chapter shall be amended to reflect any additions or deletions with respect to school crossings.
The School Board, or the Chief Administrative Officer in the case of any private or parochial school, is hereby directed and shall have the continuing obligation to notify the offices of the Borough Clerk, Engineer, and Attorney of any changes in the location and boundaries of any property owned or leased to any elementary or secondary school or School Board which is used for school purposes or of any additions or deletions of school crossings.
The Borough Clerk is hereby directed: to keep on file the original of the map approved and adopted in Section 13-2 and any amendments thereto, and the list of school crossings designated in Section 13-1 and any amendments thereto; and, to provide at a reasonable cost in accordance with law, a true copy thereof to any person who may request a copy thereof. It is further directed that a true copy of such map, the school crossing list, and this Chapter 13 of the "Code of the Borough of Somerville" shall be provided without cost to the Clerk and the Prosecutor of Somerset County.
The map and list approved and adopted by this Chapter 13 of the "Code of the Borough of Somerville" were prepared and intended to be used as evidence in prosecutions arising under the criminal and traffic laws of the State of New Jersey and, pursuant to law, such map and list shall constitute prima facie evidence of the following:
A. 
The location of elementary and secondary schools within the Borough;
B. 
The boundaries of the real property which is owned by or leased to such schools or a School Board;
C. 
That such school property is used for school purposes;
D. 
The location and boundaries of areas which are on or within one thousand (1000) feet of such school property; and
E. 
The location of all school crossings within the Borough.
