There shall be established in the Township a Department of Recreation.

The head of the Department of Recreation shall be the Director
of Recreation. The Director of Recreation shall be appointed by the
Mayor with the advice and consent of Council and shall report to and
be supervised by the Township Administrator.

The Director of Recreation's duties shall include, but not necessarily
be limited to, the following:
a. Perform such duties as may now, or hereafter, be provided by statute
or ordinance;
b. Provide day to day oversight, control and management of all parks,
playgrounds and recreation facilities and programs owned, acquired,
leased or operated by the Township, including the municipal pool;
c. Collaborate with, and make recommendations to, the Director of Human
Services, as it relates to senior citizens' recreation activities;
d. Recommend grant and funding opportunities available to assist the
Township in the expansion and improvement of age specific recreation
programs and facilities;
e. Perform such other duties as may otherwise be directed by the Mayor
and Council;
f. Supervise other Township employees assigned to the Department of
Recreation.
