No
person shall fail to return any book or article borrowed from the
Free Public Library of the Borough of Roselle Park, or fail to pay
any accrued library fines resulting from books or articles borrowed
from the library after thirty (30) days have elapsed from date of
posting by certified mail, return receipt requested, of a notice demanding
the return thereof addressed to that person at the last known address
furnished by that person.

Unless
another penalty is expressly provided by statute, any person convicted
of a violation of paragraph a shall be liable to the penalty of one
hundred ($100.00) dollars or imprisoned for a term not to exceed fifteen
(15) days.

No person shall cut, tear, deface, disfigure, damage or destroy
any book or any other library article or any part thereof which is
owned by, or is in custody of, the Free Public Library of the Borough
of Roselle Park.

No person shall register or furnish a false name or address
or use any card other than the one issued to the person for the purpose
of borrowing any book or any article or material from the library.

No minor will be issued a library card by the Free Public Library
of the Borough of Roselle Park unless the application is signed by
one (1) of the parents or a guardian of the minor, the signature indicating
the parent or guardian will be responsible for books or any other
library articles borrowed by the minor as stated in this chapter.

Any person violating any provisions of this chapter shall be
subject to a fine not exceeding one hundred ($100.00) dollars for
each offense. In addition to the aforesaid fine, that person shall
pay the replacement cost of any book or other library article, together
with all accrued library fines thereon, which sum shall be paid to
a representative of the Free Public Library of the Borough of Roselle
Park at the time the matter is disposed of by the Municipal Court.
