There shall be a Department of Public Works, the Director of which shall be the Director of Public Works. The Director of the Department of Public Works shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council.
A. 
Within the Department of Public Works, there shall be a Division of Streets and Roads, the head of which may be the Road Supervisor.
B. 
The Division of Streets and Roads shall:
(1) 
Maintain and repair all public roads within the Township.
(2) 
Maintain, alter and repair sidewalks controlled by the Township, curbs, gutters and encroachments by objects and structures above and below such streets and sidewalks in accordance with the ordinances of the Township.
(3) 
Provide for and regulate snow removal and sanding or salting operations.
(4) 
Recommend to the Police Department the posting of emergency no-parking signs.
(5) 
Maintain storm drain systems.
(6) 
Maintain all streetlights in the Township and make recommendations as to the need for new lighting.
