The purpose of this section is to establish a Department of
Community Development Block Grants and a Department head within the
Township of Lakewood who shall be responsible for the oversight of
Community Development Block Grants funding.

There is hereby established a Department of Community Development
Block Grants.

The Department shall be headed by the Director of Community
Development Block Grants who shall be responsible for the planning,
organization, coordination, and administration of the Community Development
Block Grant Program and the funding received for said programs. The
Director may also be assigned additional duties at the direction of
the Municipal Manager.

The Community Development Block Grants Department shall interact
with Municipal, County, State, and Federal governments for the receipt
of funding, program planning, and implementation.

The Department shall also interact with private agencies and nonprofit
organizations within the community to maximize the funding received
from the grants.

The Director of the Department shall have a minimum of three
years experience in the area of housing economics, public services,
and working with the administration of grants. A bachelors degree
may be substituted for one year of required experience.
