For the purpose of this section, the following terms, phrases, words and their derivations shall have the meanings given in this section:
Any solid plastic, rubber or metal container having a tight-fitting lid, commonly known as a garbage container, and used for disposal of garbage, litter, refuse, rubbish as defined in this section. Excluded from this definition are plastic and paper bags.
Any plastic, rubber, metal or wooden container owned and maintained by the Borough of Ship Bottom for use by pedestrians and the general public on public property for disposal of any garbage, litter, refuse, rubbish, trash or recyclable material as defined in this section.
Putrescible animal and vegetable wastes resulting from the handling, preparation, cooking and consumption of food.
Garbage, refuse and rubbish as defined in this section and all other waste material which, if thrown or deposited as prohibited in this chapter, tends to create a danger to public health, safety and welfare.
Any and all streets, sidewalks, boulevards, alleys, beaches or other public ways, and any and all public parks, squares, spaces, docks, grounds and buildings.
Any material which would otherwise become municipal solid waste, and which may be collected, separated and/or processed, and returned to the economic mainstream in the form of raw materials or products.
All putrescible and nonputrescible solid wastes (except body wastes), including garbage, rubbish, ashes, street cleanings, dead animals, abandoned automobiles, and solid market and industrial wastes.
Nonputrescible solid wastes consisting of both combustible and noncombustible wastes, such as paper, wrappings, cigarettes, cardboard, tin cans, yard clippings, leaves, wood, glass, bedding, crockery and similar materials.
Every device in, upon or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a highway, including devices used exclusively upon stationary rails or tracks.
