A sign designed to influence the action of voters for the passage or defeat of a measure, or the election of a candidate to a public office in a national, state, or other local election.

A.
Such signs are permitted if they are stationary, unlighted and temporary.
B.
Such signs shall be displayed no earlier than 21 days prior to a voting day, and shall be removed within two days after a voting day.
C.
Such signs may not exceed five square feet in area or four feet in height above ground level.
D.
Political signs are not allowed to be placed on public property, utility poles, or trees.
Violations of any section of this bylaw shall be subject to a penalty not exceeding $10 for each violation. Each instance shall constitute a separate violation of this bylaw.

In case any section, paragraph or part of this bylaw be for any reason declared invalid or unconstitutional by any court, every other section, paragraph or part shall continue in full force and effect.
