A certain document, three copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Shamokin, being marked and designated as the "BOCA National Plumbing Code, Seventh Edition, 1987," as published by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., be and is hereby adopted as the Plumbing Code of the City of Shamokin in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; for the control of buildings and structures as herein provided; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said BOCA National Plumbing Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this chapter, with the additions, insertions and changes, if any, prescribed in § 394-3 of this chapter.
Ordinance No. 162, as amended, of the City of Shamokin entitled
"BOCA Basic Plumbing Code, 1975 Edition" and all other ordinances
or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
The following sections are hereby revised as follows:

Section P-100.1 (page 1, second line). Insert: "City of Shamokin."

Section P-104.1 (page 2, second line). Insert: "the effective date
of this chapter."

Nothing in this chapter or in the Plumbing Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court, or any rights acquired or liability incurred or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing, under any act or ordinance hereby repealed as cited in § 394-2 of this chapter; nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this chapter.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this chapter
and cause the same to be published as required by law; and this chapter
shall take full force and effect 10 days after this date of final
passage and approval.
