Except where specifically provided elsewhere, any person who violates any provision of this Code or fails to comply with any of its requirements shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a violation pursuant to the Penal Law of the State of New York, punishable by a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day of noncompliance shall be considered a separate offense. Nothing herein contained shall prevent the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson from taking such other lawful action as necessary to prevent or remedy an infraction.
